My Favorite Foundations Luxury & Drugstore Brands

When going shopping for foundation, some of us already know exactly what we are getting and what brand, and then there are some of us that really have no clue what we are buying, we just know how much we are spending or how much we plan to spend. In my humble opinion, I have found that both luxury and drugstore brands offer amazing foundations, it's just a matter of what works for you. Below is a list of some of my favorite foundations both luxury and drugstore brands. Comment below with your favorites!

My Favorite Luxury Brands Of Foundations:

Becca Ultimate Coverage Foundation

Price: $44.00

Can be purchased at Ulta, BeccaCosmetics.com, Sephora and other high end beauty supply venues.

I love this foundation, I was recently introduced to this foundation by way of a motivated saleswoman at Ulta in my local mall. I thought she was just trying to make her daily sales, she was very insistent I try Becca Cosmetics Ultimate Coverage Foundation. I'm so happy she shared her excitement for this product. It is very true to it's title, I literally used a drop on my entire face!. There is no need for a corrector, all of my hyper-pigmentation were completely hidden. Truly, a little goes a long way when it comes to this particular foundation. I enjoy the matte finish and very little touch up is needed throughout the day. It is worth every dime.

Too Faced Born This Way Absolute Perfection Foundation

Price: $39

Can be purchased at Ulta, TooFaced.com, Sephora and other high end beauty supply venues.

I was a little apprehensive because I didn't think they would have my color (Warm Deep Brown), but to my pleasant surprise, I found the perfect color match. The coverage is phenomenal but I love the finished look, it gives your skin an airbrushed effect. If applied correctly, this will allow your skin to look clean and clear as if you never experienced puberty..lol.

Makeup Forever Ultra HD Foundation

Price: $43

Can be purchased at Sephora, MakeupForever.com

This was my first real luxury foundation. I remember going to a Long Island Sephora to purchase an eyeliner and ended up purchasing this with a setting powder. I absolutely had buyer's remorse, considering the fact I had just spent $45 on a foundation, and I was on the tightest budget of my life, I was going to school full time and working less. But, it was worth every penny, the sales rep explained to me how the tap press method works and I literally used this same foundation every day for 3 months almost four. It had the best coverage and it looks great on video and in pictures, no flashback and a great finished look.

Maybelline FITme Matte Poreless Foundation

Price: $5.99-7.99

Can be purchased at CVS, Walgreens, Target, Walmart, Ulta

If you are a new MUA, new to makeup, or just on a budget I think this is a great option. It is available in a variety of colors, warm and cool tones, the coverage is buildable, yet I use this when I want a fresh clean look, and I also think this is a great option for acne prone skin, it is light an oil free.

L'oreal True Match Foundation

Price: $7.49-8.99

Can be purchased at CVS, Walgreens, Target, Walmart, Ulta

This particular foundation is actually one of my favorite foundations across the board. I love the inclusion of this foundation, besides the in depth marketing and the variety of ethnicity groups they include they also provide quality application. This is a great option for everyday use, it's oil-free and lightweight.

Revlon Colorstay

Price: $9.49-12.99

Can be purchased at CVS, Walgreen, Target, Ulta, Walmart

This is a classic product! I believe it delivers the best coverage, and last longer than most of the other drugstore brands. It uses state of the are technology that helps prevent this foundation from rubbing off easily. This foundation is so popular that it seems to sell pretty fast, I can never find my color.

Don't be fooled by price, foundations are specific to what you need, by all means I believe you should consider your budget first, though I believe in splurging sometimes, I don't encourage you go broke doing so.
