Layering Skincare Products On Oily Skin

Layering Skincare Products On Oily Skin

With oily skin everything is a challenge; the constant worry of applying too much or not enough is a daunting task that can be very overwhelming. Here at we don't want you skipping or taking short cuts because of "oil fear" be sure to use the correct products for your skin type so when you apply your skincare products, you won't clog pores nor pack on the oil.

1. Choose a great Toner- Toners have gotten a lot of better in the last few years, no longer overwrought with alcohol and other skin dehydrating ingredients you want to make sure you don't skip out on this product. Start with a toner that has a little salicylic or glycolic acid, this will dissolve dead skin that clogs pores and shrinks pores, try Neutrogena Pore Refining Toner.

2. Only Treat The Blemish- Traditionally we are taught to apply a thin layer of benzoyl peroxide to entire face to prevent breakouts, but this will cause dryness and flakiness which can be super unattractive. When you see a blemish, apply medication to the blemish and not the entire face.

3.Nurturing The Skin- Ditch heavy moisturizers that clog pores and lead to more breakouts, instead use moisturizers that contain botanical ingredients that constrict pores, and brighten skin tone, Try Muse Setting Spray to refresh skin and moisturize.

4. Moisture Security- Moisturizers are definitely a must have, but for those with oily skin moisturizers are often skipped, but this is a necessary step to hydrate the skin. Invest in oil free moisturizers to reduce the shine, but also moisturizers will seal the products into your skin.

5. Protect Your Skin- EVERYONE needs a great sunscreen to protect their skin  from the UV rays, not just UV rays from the sun but also from UV lights often found indoors. This should be the last step in your skincare regimen

Try these steps in your skincare regimen and enjoy beautiful skin daily!
