How To Get A Natural Glow Using Illuminating Powder

Fear not the golden, shimmery dust, it is our friend. If you are a beginner or new to makeup, illuminating powder can be slightly intimidating. I hear a lot of makeup wearers say they want to apply the bronze hue, but they do not want to ruin their entire look by over applying, or not applying enough. Here are some very simple tips on how to apply this glam product easily and naturally.

To achieve a natural airbrushed finish you will need a soft blush brush. Avoid rubbing the brush in your powder, this may cause you to pick up too much product. I suggest lightly swirling your brush in your powder, and tapping. Remember, it is easier to build your makeup rather than try and tone down.

Lightly apply the illuminating powder to the top of your cheekbone, down the center of your nose, the center of your forehead, and chin. Be mindful of the word LIGHTLY. Start with a small amount and slowly build to a glow that is to your comfort level. A natural glow is achieved with light blending and a small amount of illuminating powder. Also, be sure to apply under good lighting, preferably daylight type setting, it will be embarrassing to sparkle and glow like the tin man just because you couldn't see well.
